Randy Black Biography
Randy Black was born on November 17, 1963, in Canada. Randy grew up in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He got his first professional start in 1980 with a band called ‘’’The Edge’’’ however he didn’t start any serious touring until he join the band “The Kaotics” in 1982.
Black’s big break came when he was asked to join Bif Naked in 1995. He toured with the band for several years and appeared on their albums Purge (1996), I Bificus (1998), and The Promise (1999). Black’s drumming style was a perfect fit for Bif Naked’s unique brand of punk-influenced rock. He quickly became one of the band’s most popular members and helped them to achieve international success.
In 1998, Black did some recording work with Bif Naked on the album I Bifidus. It was shortly after this that Black moved to Germany. He also did some more recording with Annihilator
In 2001, Black left Bif Naked to pursue other projects. He worked with Kelly Clarkson on her debut album Thankful (2003) and also played drums on Avril Lavigne‘s album Under My Skin (2004). He has also worked with other top artists such as Nickelback, Carrie Underwood, and Daughtry.
Black returned to Bif Naked later and has been touring with the band ever since. He is an incredible drummer who always puts on a great show. He is a true asset to the band and has helped them to achieve success both in Canada and abroad. In 2010 Randy also released his first drum instructional DVD through Hudson Music Ltd.
