Drummer Plays on a Snare Drum Made Entirely of LEGOS!

Get ready to have your mind blown, drummers and LEGO fanatics alike! YouTuber 66Samus, known for his epic drumming skills and infectious metalhead energy, just got his hands on the most unique snare drum you’ve ever seen. This isn’t your average birch or maple shell – this bad boy is built from a whopping 1,400 LEGO bricks!

Some creative genius out there constructed a fully functional snare drum using nothing but LEGO pieces. No modifications, no cheating – just pure LEGO ingenuity. Apparently, LEGO roof tiles even make for some surprisingly effective bearing edges! For the crucial hardware components though, 66Samus explains they used a mix of traditional drum parts and, of course, some clever LEGO hacks.

The result? A truly innovative DIY project that’s as much a work of art as it is a musical instrument. But the most shocking part? This LEGO monstrosity actually sounds incredible! In his video, 66Samus puts the brick-built beast through its paces, and it delivers a surprisingly punchy and responsive sound. It even handles different tunings well, proving its surprising versatility.

This LEGO snare drum isn’t just a novelty – it’s a challenge to the status quo! It makes you wonder, what other unconventional materials could be used to create amazing music?

This video is pure inspiration for anyone who loves to get creative and push boundaries. It’s a testament to the power of imagination and the endless possibilities of LEGO. So grab your bricks, dust off your drumsticks, and get ready to unleash your inner rockstar (with a side of engineering genius)!

The LEGO snare drum must have taken inspiration from Brian Melick, who made an entire drum set out of LEGOs, though, it wasn’t as colorful.

Brian dives deep into the design of his set, explaining how he used regular LEGO pieces to create the crucial bearing edges (the parts where the drumhead sits) for that professional sound. He even built a unique single-tension system for his snare drum, which has seen action on over 20 recordings!

But LEGO bricks aren’t exactly designed for mounting hardware. Brian cleverly adapted them to hold nuts and bolts, staying true to the spirit of LEGO while achieving a pro-grade instrument.
