Sennheiser Hd25

I have become very cautious when it comes to choosing the right headphones and similar accessories. Some of the products I have used before were not very good.

And so, I settled on one manufacturer. Sennheiser is a brand I have come to love very much.

Over the years, the company has been producing some of the best headphones in the world. And it’s no wonder many audiophiles swear by their name.

I wanted a good set of headphones because I was trying out some DJing. After playing drums for so long and using fabulous headphones for drummers, I wasn’t going to take anything less.

So, I will be reviewing the Sennheiser HD 25 headphones.

Sennheiser HD25 Headphones Best Review

If you have ever used any headphones from Sennheiser, you should already know where they stand in terms of quality. The Sennheiser HD25 is DJ on-ear DJ headphones that have become very popular. They offer a load rating of 200 Ohms, which makes them perform even better.

The headphones promise a durable, well-crafted performance with perfect sound quality. They have been marked as one of the best in loud situations.

Pros

• Excellent sound quality

It’s the sound that makes the cut when you are looking for the right headphones. And Sennheiser knows what every user wants.

• Great isolation

The HD25 are closed-back headphones, which means you never have to worry about outside noise interference. Hence, best for DJs and loud situations.

• Lightweight

I know DJs shake their heads a lot, and it would not help if you had heavy headphones on. The HD25 is light and yet very powerful.

• A durable construction

I like the way these headphones are designed. They are the best description of excellent construction. They are clean and straightforward. Very strong and durable.

• The parts are replaceable

If one part of the HD25 breaks, you can always go and buy a replacement. This is what makes them easy to use and very good for any user.

Cons

• Heat build-up

Well, these are closed-back headphones. As such, you can expect the ear pads to get hot.

The design is not very interesting

To be honest, you either like these headphones, or you don’t. There is no middle ground. If you want a better design with almost the same quality, consider getting Shure SRH1540.

Verdict: The Sennheiser HD 25 headphones are excellent pieces for DJs. They offer a good sound quality, have a durable design, and are suitable for any user.

Sound Quality: Is Sennheiser Headphones HD25 have Excellent Sound Quality?

Even though not everyone will like the design of these headphones, I am sure you love their sound. The HD 25 is created to offer a perfect tonal value. Whatever frequency you tune them on, these cans will not disappoint.

And that is why I would choose them over and over for a hybrid pair of headphones. They are made for DJing, mixing, and mastering.

If you are looking for a balanced sound level, then you have got one in the HD25.

The bass is well articulated. I know that most DJs also love a more pronounced lower end, which I found missing in these pieces. I like more punch in the lower frequency to easy benchmarking of my ear.

But that depends on individual users. Some people may want something thinner or just as perfect as these.

Also, they may not have such a decent loudness. I have come across many other louder headphones, and you would hear everything through them very clearly.

Nevertheless, these pairs are well-balanced, which is a good thing. They offer passive sound isolation, which is good because you will hear with clarity everything happening in the mix.

If you want to hear the crowd cheers, these headphones will not be the right set. But you can focus on giving good music and performance.

It can handle high sound pressure levels, which makes it ideal for loud environments. Their sound signature is just good.

In short, the HD25 headphones from Sennheiser are an excellent option for DJs. It’s also suitable for playing drums and other instruments.

Ear Pads: Is Sennheiser HD25 have Comfortable Ear Pads?

When it comes to choosing headphones, we all want something that sits comfortably over the ears. This plays a huge role.

A DJ wears their headphones over the head and around the neck for extended periods.

Everyone has a different head. This makes it even harder to review such headphones in general.

Also, we all have different ears. Some are bigger, and some are smaller.

In this regard, the headband padding is one of the most important components you want to keep your eye on. Good ear pads mean a comfortable performance.

I will be honest here. The HD 25 is not very uncomfortable. However, I think they are a bit tiring on the ear. I wore them for an hour and started feeling not very sure.

It could be because of my ear design.

The headband is made from a very comfortable material. You can adjust the two headbands until you find the perfect spot.

Besides, they have a good amount of padding and a strong clamping force that keeps them on your head.

Try sliding one earcup back, and it feels smooth. It settles naturally over the ears without feeling like it would fall from your head. And you will switch them back in the same manner without feeling bad.

In a nutshell, the ear pads are good. Although they can get a bit sweaty, they are still a good pair. Besides, sweating is common in all closed-end headphones.

They are comfortable enough. And since they are lightweight, you can even forget you were wearing them.

Sennheiser HD 25 Review: What is the difference between Sennheiser HD 25 models?

There are several models of the HD25 headphones. Generally, they are all the same, except for a few tiny additions here and there.

Currently, there are three models offered for this line. Here is a breakdown of what they offer:

• HD 25 Light

If you are looking for something with a simplified headband, this should be a good fit for you. They offer the same sound quality as the other choice. They have a dynamic closed weight, without cable.

Sennheiser HD 25 Dj head phones

For this review, I received the HD 25. These are legendary headphones that come with a splayed headband and straight cables. This is what makes them stand out as the most popular option.

Also, they are more comfortable than the basic HD25 Light.

Sennheiser HD25 Plus

Sennheiser always finds a way to make everyone happy. The HD 25 Plus is the most superior option of the three. They come with a coiled cable, an additional straight one, and an extra set of ear cushions. That is not all; you get a protective storage pouch to make carrying them more convenient. The extra cable can be used when you lose the current one.

In terms of sound quality, all three models offer the same level as the HD25 reviewed here. The 6.35 mm stereo cable length assures a smooth sound flow.

So, the main difference is that the HD25 is the oldest and the original model. These other are just some reductions or additions to the general design of the headphones.

Because of this, one model may be a bit higher in price than the rest. It all depends on how much you are willing to invest.

Sennheiser HD25: Do Sennheiser HD 25 have a mic?

The HD25 are on-ear headphones, some models come with a mic while others don’t. As stated above, they have a straight removable cable, which does not have the mic either. Using the transducer principle. Dynamic closed-back headphones are just good the way they are for DJ gear.

This is also one of the things you consider when buying DJ headphones. You may want to use the microphone for other services, but I don’t think it’s of any importance on the stage where you will already have other mics.

But if you are looking for a pair of headphones with a microphone, then this pair is not for you. There are other options you could consider, as some of the top products are from Audio Technica.

Sennheiser HD25, The Best for On-Ear DJ Headphones

When buying DJing headphones, you also want to consider whether they are over-ear or on-ear in their design. This is crucial because you want to feel comfortable using them.

Let’s look at the difference.

Over-ear Headphones

These are headphones that engulf the whole ear. Hence, they are mostly larger than the on-ear options. They are not suitable for DJs because of the heat build-up.

On-ear

These types of headphones sit on the ear. Since most DJ headphones are closed-back, heat built-up is eminent. The on-ear options allow for more breathability. Also, they can handle a high sound pressure level pretty easily even on one ear.

Also, they are more comfortable depending on how they are built. They need to be well-designed to offer just the right amount of passive noise cancellation. You don’t want something that will not hold firmly on your ear and may fall off during a performance. Too much sound leakage is not good.

The HD 25

Sennheiser’s HD 25 is one of the best and most popular on-ear DJ headphones. And there is a reason for this.

First, they are well designed to sit firmly on your ears. You can play for hours without feeling like they are falling off.

They are breathable and comfortable. Everyone wants these features in their headphones. The HD 25 is good.

They are loud enough. In terms of sound quality, I don’t think there is anything that can beat the HD25 at this price level. They offer a good bass, excellent mids, and remarkable highs.

Sennheiser HD 25 Monitor Headphones vs. Sennheiser HD 25 PLUS Monitor Headphones: Which is Better?

It depends on what you are looking for in the headphones. Consider the following features:

Sound quality

Both HD 25 and the HD25 Plus offer a remarkable sound quality. The HD25 is older, and it has shared its qualities among the other models. You get a total harmonic distortion from this on-ear design.

Construction and configuration

Both headphones are designed with long-lasting materials. You can use them for a long time without the need for replacement. Aside from that, they come with replaceable components.

The HD25 feature only one straight cable, while the HD 25 Plus has a coiled cable as well as a straight cable. They both have a split headband, which makes sit easy to use for long periods from your DJ booths.

Features

The HD 25Plus has more features. It has stereo speakers, more comfortable earpads, and a sturdier headband.

Price

Due to its extra features, the HD 25 Plus is more expensive. You can get the HD25 for much lower, which is perhaps the reason they are so popular.

Earpads

Both options come with comfortable ear pads. They are on-ear, which means you don’t have to worry about breathability.

Verdict: If you are looking for more features, which include more comfort, go for the HD25 Plus. These are an improvement of the HD25. That is to say, the HD 25 Plus is better in many ways. But if you are in for something cheaper but with the same sound quality, then the HD 25 should be just enough.
