Mapex recently introduced new series into the market. The series is known as the Voyager Drum Set Series. This product came into the global market in 2010. For the first time, it was warmly welcomed by a good number of drummers, including the professional drummers’.

General features of Mapex Voyager Drum Set Series

All voyager drum sets are designed and packaged to be ‘ready to go.’ The package consists of a full set of all-new Mapex 330 Series Hardware, an optional set of Mapex Cymbals, a setup, an instructional DVD, and a padded throne.

The drums feature newly designed appointments that include lugs, mounts, badges, and bass drum claws. The Voyager has 7.2 millimeters basswood shells with recently designed, low weight lugs.

These lugs are attached to the shell using only one point of contact, reducing the number of holes drilled and enhancing resonance. The voyager series features a self-muffling bass drum head.

The bass drum claws of the Voyager series are newly made to be low in profile. It includes cushioned gaskets to protect the bass drum hoops. The bass drum’s tom also features the most recent styling and a sunken adapter to house an optional cymbal arm.

Moreover, the Mapex Voyager drum set to feature the most recent Mapex 330 Series Hardware design. The 330 series cymbal stand has Multi-Sustain Cymbal Felts.

  • Standard/VR5255TCZ (22×18 inches bass drum, 12×9 and 13×10 inches tom-toms, 16×16 inches floor tom, 14×5.5 inches snare drum)
  • Fusion Ease/ VR5245TCZ (22×18 inches bass drum, 10×8 and 12×9 inches tom-toms, 14×14 inches floor tom, 14×5.5 inches snare drum)
  • Jazz/VR5045TCZ (20×18 inches bass drum, 10×8 and 12×9 inches tom-toms, 14×14 inches floor tom, 14×5.5 inches snare drum).

There is also an optional Mapex cymbal in the Voyager kits. These Mapex cymbals include a set of 14-inch hi-hats and an 18-inch crash/ride.

The Voyager Drum Series was introduced to replace the Q Series product line, which was dropped.
